I initially gave this app two stars due to miserable stability. Since then Ive updated os/x and have stopped adjusting things and no longer use the web page support. Possibly due to this or just luck it has not crashed on me in a few days now so Im raising my review to three stars. If this app continues to be stable I will come back and up my rating to four stars. This app is easy to set up and has a clean design. Setting up the streams for viewing away from home was basically a one-click operation and it auto configured all the port forwarding on my airport extreme which was pretty cool. The companion iPhone app was also simple to link up. I really like the ability to hear audio on my iPhone from my pocket while at work. If you only use the iPhone/iPad app as a client and dont care about the web interface AND dont adjust anything while away you can get enough reliability out of this thing. System: OS/X Mountain Lion on 17" Mac Book Pro using built in I-Sight camera and an Apple Airport Extreme router.

ok app finds cam or mon most of the time pretty neat for home use

The video files captured during motion detection mode were all corrupt and I cant figure out how to repair them. Video captured during regular record mode looks great but for some reason the motion detection mode is not properly saving or encoding the video.

I downloaded this program and it does not work!! It can not find any cameras except my pc and that one does not record well, lines and glitches throughout the video.

Just installed this app, worked the first time I tried it, but after shutting down and restarting the app for a second time it will not connect to the camera, it just crashes everytime I try to access the camera. I have this app installed on my iPhone 5 and ipad mini and it works great. NEED TO FIX THIS BUG!!!!

Great app and super simple to use.

It cant even get past step 1, finding my camera, although my iMac iSight camera works fine with every other app.

I have a 2012 iMac with a built in iSight camera, yet the app cant find it. really?

Love it works perfecty however why isnt it able to shoot in 1080p? Once they add that itll be perfect.

It just quits after 3 minutes or so. It doesnt work. I want my money back.

If you just want to view your webcam from a remote location it seems fine. Motion detection and audio detection recording seemed to work well as did the sensitivity settings. Quality was decent with older 640X480 USB cam. I was able to record log passes without crashing. Crashes when you stop recording, whether from remote browser viewed on my Macbook or directly from cam source Mac Mini. But other than that, it does work within my home network. I need to try it from outside my own network. Was also able to log in with Teamviewer while running Airbeam. Able to remotely launch and quit Airbeam with Teamviewer App, which is handy for when it crashed. Hopefully they will get this worked out.

So far this Air Beam works fine without any big issues.

I have been looking for something like this for quite some time. So far, it performs as stated.

I should not have just jumped and purchased this app without some research. Something like this should work like Logmein, where you have an account on the Internet you log into that holds information about all your cameras - not manual input (which doesn’t seem to work, even over cellular - and I’ve set up a lot of port forwarding so I know how that works). It should also sit in your taskbar running vs. having to open up an app. This would make it 300x better. I’d wait and see what updates happen to this app. It could become much better. For now, I do not recommend.

Easy setup, Ran without a hitch, but sometimes I have to enter the IP address to get a device connected. (they make this about as easy as possible) I like how I can get multiple devices on my computer with resizable windows, but I wish I could do the same on an iPad. With multiple devices in iOS, I can see each divice and a preview of what the device sees, but I can only expand the veiw to see one device at a time. On my laptop, the preview is layout better, and I can open resizable windows for each device. Also would like the iOS version to have a preview more like the computer version. (right now in iOS they are lined up one on top of the other, and I have to scroll up and down to see the previewson various devices) I also like how its not set up like some kind of spyware, the recordings stay on the device and are not transmitted to my computer. You can set it up in lock mode, where the screen will go dark after a while, but when it you unlock the screen brighness is ususaly “full dark” (im guessing they will fix this) Using a 3S, the latency is about a half second, 4S is better, and on a 5S or my gen 2 iPad, there is almost no latency at all. I tested it with up to four iOS devices, worked well but latency did increase when there was other trafic on the same wifi hotspot.

Very straight forward and easy to set up.

Works sometimes but crashes alot. Developer responded to my pre-sales questions, but once I bought it and started to report problems - no response. If it works for you consider yourself lucky.

It is so easy to setup and use. no instructions needed. One time, it helped me find out where mice were coming into my kitchen! Needed to find out where they were coming and going so that I could fill the holes. Immensely useful. No crashes for me.

I hope an update to fix this app is already submitted. I have used and loved this app for quite awhile now, but this update, both here and the IOS version has managed to make just about every feature non-functional. I can no longer view any of my systems running it. I can connect and actually see the screen on the main window of the app, but when I click on it it opens its own window that is completely blank. This is on all of my systems. Also, I have to open and close the app several times before the camera works. Please fis it as soon as is possible!
